I have conducted many in-class IFAT ‘scratch card’ sessions for academics who were not initially confident to run the cards by themselves. I ran these sessions to demonstrate how the cards worked, to model collaborative learning facilitation, and to build initial rapport with academics leading to further curriculum change. I also ran these sessions to refine my designs and to expand my professional practice as an in-class facilitator. I wrote about my experiences using scratch cards here. How I use the cards in my workshops was covered here.
Below are some of the sessions conducted:

I've given out thousands of IFAT cards over the years via my workshops. I've had the pleasure to receive so many emails from users saying how great they are. Here's just a few things that users have said:
“The cards got them talking. The conversations in the groups were exactly as intended- they talked about the topics with each other.”
“The scratch cards were also a hit and I believe really helped consolidate the learning from the day before.”
“The scratch cards have been very well received. I found that most of the students were very into getting the maximum scores so they had lots of discussions regarding what was right/wrong so it was really interactive.”
“The use of the cards definitely generated discussion on the questions, and even more so when they didn’t get the right answer first go. It also noticeably improved the energy in the room and the concentration.”
I have also had the pleasure to interview some users and to cover them in blog posts. These blogs can be read by following the links below.
